The town council at Hay on Wye has agreed for us to place a way station on the site of the old toll house near the bridge over the River Wye. This is great news.
Will Spankie is now in the process of making a stone bench as a way-station for Hay on Wye. This is a significant point in the Via Beata as it crosses into Wales. The bench will carry the words of Jesus’ disciples ‘Lord to whom shall we go, you have the words of eternal life.’ It is to be sited in the Old Tollhouse picnic site by the bridge over the river.
